HERS Services was founded in honor of my late grandmother, Mary Ann York Wright, whose legacy of generosity continues to inspire our mission. Throughout her life, she kept both her home and her heart open to others, always giving selflessly and with a smile.
One year after her passing—on my birthday—I received a gift from her that became the seed for something greater. Rather than using it for myself, I chose to honor her legacy by creating a nonprofit that would embody her spirit of service. On June 19, 2019, HERS Services (Helping Enforce Resident Services) was officially established.
Today, our organization proudly serves the counties of Bergen, Essex, and Passaic—areas that held a special place in my grandmother’s heart as both she and many of our loved ones called them home. Through HERS Services, we continue her tradition of compassion by supporting individuals and families with the resources, advocacy, and opportunities they need to thrive as like she did in the pass.

H.E.R.S (Helping Enforce Resident Services) is dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through comprehensive outreach, workforce development, and support services.
