Need
Being a native Patersonian, I have seen the plight of young people living within our city who graduate from high school and are ill equip for responsibilities of daily life by not having life skill or knowing how to employ transferable life skills into their resume. Most young people are not aware of the many services available within the city to assist in the time of need, such as knowing how to access needed and viable services, know the location of the board of social services in Passaic County. It is important for adolescents to begin creating resumes, developing interviewing skills that will prepare them for a life towards self-sufficiency. ay something interesting about your business here.

For example, there are ethical questions and questions that will inform organization if an individual has a criminal history background. Mock interviews will prepare participant on what to say and how they should present themselves on a job interview. Many life skills can be transferable work experiences. We will guide participants on how to reflect these transferable skills into employment skill.
Community Outreach/Civic Engagement
Since our inception we have collaborated with several partners throughout the City of Paterson. In working with our partners, we will facilitate opportunities for civic engagement at various organizations throughout the City of Paterson. In addition, we will guide youth towards ways in which they can promote civic engagement amongst their peers through food, clothing and toiletry drives. This component of the Level Up program is geared towards promoting volunteerism while also learning about the community in which they reside. Additional outings will be to some of the national landmarks within the City of Paterson. These visits are important because many youth do not know the rich history of Paterson and some have never been to the Paterson Falls, which is a National Landmark.
